About this task

This Series B online marketplace for outdoor gear (201–500 employees) is looking for a manager SEO Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 1–2 h a week. Traffic, rankings and actions with commentary.

The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. It sells online, so volumes move with promotions and the calendar matters.

The team sits in Boston. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).

What you deliver

• Produce the monthly organic report with wins, losses and next-month priorities.
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
• A written update every Wednesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call

What a week looks like

• Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
• Friday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
• Wednesday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread

Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.

• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
