About this task
This Space-technology company in drones (11–50 employees) is looking for a manager Fractional Controller for an ongoing part-time engagement of 2–6 h a week. Owns the close calendar, reviews every reconciliation and publishes the monthly package.
The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. It works in aerospace, where change control and documentation are formal.
The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in Texas, so this one is for residents there. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CT).
What you deliver
- Run the October close for a 60-person SaaS company: checklist, reviews, and the finance package by working day 8.
- A written update every Monday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
What a week looks like
- Thursday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
- Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
- Monday: update sent before the company's end of day
Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
