About this task
This regional bank serving farmers and food producers (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a director Fractional Controller for an ongoing part-time engagement of 2–6 h a week. Owns the close calendar, reviews every reconciliation and publishes the monthly package.
The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It is a regulated bank; the work is documented and reviewed before anything is signed off.
The company prefers a person who can come to Seattle for kickoff and the final review; the rest is remote. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (PT).
What you deliver
- Run the October close for a 60-person SaaS company: checklist, reviews, and the finance package by working day 8.
- A written update every Wednesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
What a week looks like
- Friday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
- Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
- Wednesday: update sent before the company's end of day
Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
