About this task

This agritech company in crop analytics (201–500 employees) is looking for a manager Fractional Controller for an ongoing part-time engagement of 2–6 h a week. Owns the close calendar, reviews every reconciliation and publishes the monthly package.

Workload peaks and dips, so a few fixed hours a week fit better than a full-time seat. It is an agri-business, so the calendar follows the growing season.

The team sits in Paris. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).

What you deliver

• Run the October close for a 60-person SaaS company: checklist, reviews, and the finance package by working day 8.
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
• A written update every Friday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked

What a week looks like

• Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
• Monday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
• Friday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread

Duration: 8 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
