About this task

This management consulting firm (11–50 employees) is looking for a manager Project Manager for an ongoing part-time engagement of 2–5 h a week. Runs the recurring project meetings and keeps decisions on record.

Workload peaks and dips, so a few fixed hours a week fit better than a full-time seat. It is a consulting firm, so client deadlines set the pace and handover notes are expected.

The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in Michigan, so this one is for residents there. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start.

What you deliver

• Chair the weekly project meeting, keep to the agenda and publish decisions within two hours.
• A written update every Monday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call

What a week looks like

• Thursday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
• Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
• Monday: update sent before the company's end of day

Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
