About this task
This lending platform (5,000+ employees) is looking for a senior Paralegal for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–8 h a week. Keeps matter files organised and deadlines clear.
The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It operates in regulated payments and lending, so a written trail for every decision matters.
The company prefers a person who can come to Preston for kickoff and the final review; the rest is remote. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (UK time).
What you deliver
- Organise matter files, update the docket and send a weekly deadline list.
- A written update every Wednesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
What a week looks like
- Tuesday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
- Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
- Wednesday: update sent before the company's end of day
Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
