About this task

This Supply-chain software company (51–200 employees) is looking for a manager Policy & Handbook Writer for a monthly bundle of recurring tasks, 8–12 h a month. One-page guides for common manager tasks.

The company wants one reliable owner for a list of small jobs instead of five different people. It moves goods for customers, so the data is operational and updated daily.

The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in Missouri, so this one is for residents there. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (CT).

What you deliver

• Write 15 one-page guides on topics such as time-off requests and probation reviews.
• A running log of open questions, reviewed at the start of each week
• A month-end summary with hours used against the cap
• A named list of items moved to next month, so nothing is lost

What a month looks like

• Week 1: intake call and a list of what is due this month
• Weeks 2 and 3: items completed in short sessions
• Week 4: month-end summary and the list for next month

Duration: 12 weeks, with a monthly hours cap. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in USD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
