About this task

This publishing house covering technology (201–500 employees) is looking for a senior Regulatory Researcher for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. What permits a business needs in a place.

It is a self-contained job: scope, checklist and price are agreed before you start. It publishes content on a schedule, so editorial deadlines are fixed.

The work is fully remote. Any location in United States works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (PT).

What you deliver

  • Research the licences needed to offer payroll services in five US states.
  • A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
  • The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
  • A 20-minute walkthrough call, or a recorded screen share if you prefer

How the work runs

  • Day 1: scope confirmed in writing, files shared
  • Middle of the period: draft shared for early feedback
  • Last day: final version and handover note

Duration: 2 to 3 weeks. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.
