About this task

This automotive supplier in car subscriptions (201–500 employees) is looking for a senior Paralegal for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Finds authorities and summarises them for a lawyer.

It is a self-contained job: scope, checklist and price are agreed before you start. It is an automotive business with long programme cycles and a strong paper trail.

The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in Michigan, so this one is for residents there. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call.

What you deliver

• Research three state-law questions and send a two-page summary with sources.
• A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
• A 20-minute walkthrough call, or a recorded screen share if you prefer
• The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed

How the work runs

• Day 1: scope confirmed in writing, files shared
• Middle of the period: draft shared for early feedback
• Last day: final version and handover note

Duration: 1 to 2 weeks. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
