About this task
This agritech company (51–200 employees) is looking for a senior Paralegal for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Finds authorities and summarises them for a lawyer.
It is a self-contained job: scope, checklist and price are agreed before you start. It is an agri-business, so the calendar follows the growing season.
The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in California, so this one is for residents there. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (PT).
What you deliver
- Research three state-law questions and send a two-page summary with sources.
- One round of edits after the company's review is included
- A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
- A 20-minute walkthrough call, or a recorded screen share if you prefer
How the work runs
- Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
- Days 2 to 5: the work, with questions answered the same day
- Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough
Duration: about 10 working days. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
