About this task
This Series C digital wealth platform for e-commerce sellers (201–500 employees) is looking for a manager Legal Operations for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–8 h a week. Sorts requests so lawyers deal with the right ones.
The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It operates in regulated payments and lending, so a written trail for every decision matters.
The team sits in Sarnia. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).
What you deliver
- Triage requests, answer routine ones using templates and route the rest to counsel.
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
What a week looks like
- Thursday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
- Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
- Wednesday: update sent before the company's end of day
Duration: 16 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.
