About this task

This Series B edtech company for universities (201–500 employees) is looking for a senior AI Evaluator: Legal for a rating and review programme for AI output in your own field, 3–8 h a week. Writes realistic questions a client or business user might ask a lawyer.

The programme needs subject-matter experts who can tell a good answer from a plausible one in their own field. It works in education, with a calendar built around terms and enrolment peaks.

The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in California, so this one is for residents there.

What you deliver

  • Write 15 practical questions on leases, IP and privacy with fact patterns and no confidential facts.
  • Ratings entered in the client's tool against the written rubric, with a one-line reason each
  • Flags for answers that are unsafe, off-topic or wrong in your field
  • Short calibration notes after the first batch, so your ratings match the guidelines

What a week looks like

  • Wednesday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
  • Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
  • Friday: update sent before the company's end of day

Duration: Weekly batches for 8 weeks, renewed every four weeks. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
