About this task
This retail chain selling furniture (51–200 employees) is looking for a senior Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–8 h a week. Sends invoices on time and follows up on due dates.
The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It is a retailer with stores and an online channel, and the team works to a weekly trading rhythm.
The work is fully remote. Any location in Canada works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start.
What you deliver
- Issue the week's invoices from the billing system and send reminders at due date and day 5 overdue.
- A written update every Wednesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
What a week looks like
- Thursday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
- Monday: main working block (3 hours)
- Wednesday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open
Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
