About this task
This Series C corporate card and spend platform for freelancers (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a senior Month-End Close Accountant for an ongoing part-time engagement of 1–2 h a week. Reconciles balances between entities and clears differences.
The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It operates in regulated payments and lending, so a written trail for every decision matters.
The team sits in New York City. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. The company prefers early-morning hours, before a normal working day starts. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).
What you deliver
- Reconcile intercompany balances between the US, UK and German entities and propose eliminating entries.

- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
What a week looks like
- Thursday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
- Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
- Friday: update sent before the company's end of day
Duration: 16 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.
