About this task
This omnichannel retailer selling outdoor gear (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a senior Tax Preparation Support for a monthly bundle of recurring tasks, 8–12 h a month. Collects source documents and prepares workpapers for review.
The same kind of work comes back every month, so the company prefers one person with an hours cap over ad-hoc requests. It is a retailer with stores and an online channel, and the team works to a weekly trading rhythm.
The team sits in Mönchengladbach. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call.
What you deliver
- Prepare workpapers for 12 individual returns from client documents, with open questions listed for the preparer.
- The monthly list of items completed, each with a link to the result
- A running log of open questions, reviewed at the start of each week
- A named list of items moved to next month, so nothing is lost
What a month looks like
- Start of month: the company shares the items and the priorities
- Mid-month: progress check of 15 minutes
- Month end: hours used against the cap, results and open items
Duration: 8 weeks, with a monthly hours cap. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.
