About this task
This property developer (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a specialist Tax Preparation Support for a monthly bundle of recurring tasks, 8–12 h a month. Collects source documents and prepares workpapers for review.
A named list of recurring items keeps the month predictable for both sides. It works in real estate and construction, where project documents change often.
The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in California, so this one is for residents there. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start.
What you deliver
- Prepare workpapers for 15 individual returns from client documents, with open questions listed for the preparer.
- A running log of open questions, reviewed at the start of each week
- A month-end summary with hours used against the cap
- The monthly list of items completed, each with a link to the result
What a month looks like
- Start of month: the company shares the items and the priorities
- Mid-month: progress check of 15 minutes
- Month end: hours used against the cap, results and open items
Duration: 8 weeks, with a monthly hours cap. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.
