About this task
This Agri-business in greenhouse growing (1,001–5,000 employees) is looking for a manager Month-End Close Accountant for an ongoing part-time engagement of 4–8 h a week. Runs part of the monthly close for a European subsidiary reporting under IFRS.
The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It is an agri-business, so the calendar follows the growing season.
The work is fully remote. Any location in Malta works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).
What you deliver
- Prepare accruals, prepaid schedules and the IFRS 20 lease entries for the monthly close.
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
- A written update every Friday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
What a week looks like
- Tuesday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
- Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
- Friday: update sent before the company's end of day
Duration: 8 weeks, renewable. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
