About this task
This fashion retailer with 120 stores (5,000+ employees) is looking for a manager Month-End Close Accountant for an ongoing part-time engagement of 4–8 h a week. Runs part of the monthly close for a European subsidiary reporting under IFRS.
The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It is a retailer with stores and an online channel, and the team works to a weekly trading rhythm.
The team sits in Liverpool. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call.
What you deliver
- Prepare accruals, prepaid schedules and the IFRS 20 lease entries for the monthly close.
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
What a week looks like
- Monday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
- Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
- Tuesday: update sent before the company's end of day
Duration: 16 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
