About this task
This Series B clinical data company for primary care (201–500 employees) is looking for a senior Month-End Close Accountant for an ongoing part-time engagement of 4–8 h a week. Runs part of the monthly close for a European subsidiary reporting under IFRS.
The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It works in healthcare, so patient data is never part of the task and privacy rules are strict.
The team sits in Berlin. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).
What you deliver
- Prepare accruals, prepaid schedules and the IFRS 15 lease entries for the monthly close.
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
What a week looks like
- Tuesday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
- Wednesday: main working block (3 hours)
- Thursday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open
Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
