About this task
This property developer (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a senior Month-End Close Accountant for an ongoing part-time engagement of 4–8 h a week. Runs part of the monthly close for a European subsidiary reporting under IFRS.
The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It works in real estate and construction, where project documents change often.
The team sits in Barcelona. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).
What you deliver
- Prepare accruals, prepaid schedules and the IFRS 10 lease entries for the monthly close.
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
What a week looks like
- Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
- Wednesday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
- Friday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread
Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
