IFRS Month-End Close Support

About this task

This crypto payments company in custody (1,001–5,000 employees) is looking for a manager Month-End Close Accountant for an ongoing part-time engagement of 4–8 h a week. Runs part of the monthly close for a European subsidiary reporting under IFRS.

The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. It works in digital assets, where compliance and record keeping are a daily topic.

The work is fully remote and open to anyone living in an EU country; the team itself works from Austria. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).

What you deliver

• Prepare accruals, prepaid schedules and the IFRS 20 lease entries for the monthly close.
• A written update every Friday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day

What a week looks like

• Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
• Thursday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
• Friday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread

Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
