HR Case Advice Hour

About this task

This specialty retailer with stores in six countries (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a manager HR Generalist for a paid one-hour session with a senior specialist. A senior HR leader's view on one case.

A short, focused session replaces days of internal debate. It is a retailer with stores and an online channel, and the team works to a weekly trading rhythm.

The work is fully remote. Any location in Portugal works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. The call is booked at a time that suits you, evenings included. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).

What you deliver

• Talk through a difficult HR case and answer three questions on process and risk.
• One focused hour, with the questions sent to you the day before
• A short written summary of the advice within 24 hours after the session
• Pointers to sources you relied on, so the company can check them

How the work runs

• Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
• Days 2 to 3: the work, with questions answered the same day
• Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough

Duration: One session of about an hour. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
