General Counsel Advisory Hour

About this task

This health insurer (51–200 employees) is looking for an executive Fractional General Counsel for a paid one-hour session with a senior specialist. One hour of senior legal advice on a defined question.

A short, focused session replaces days of internal debate. It is an insurer, so accuracy and an audit trail come before speed.

The work is fully remote. Any location in Netherlands works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. The call is booked at a time that suits you, evenings included. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).

What you deliver

• Give advice on an IP assignment question with a written summary afterwards.
• No preparation outside the hour unless you both agree to extend
• A short written summary of the advice within 24 hours after the session
• Pointers to sources you relied on, so the company can check them

How the work runs

• Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
• Days 2 to 3: the work, with questions answered the same day
• Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough

Duration: One session of about an hour. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
