About this task

This retail chain with stores in six countries (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a manager Business Analyst for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Compares current and target capabilities and ranks the gaps.

It is a self-contained job: scope, checklist and price are agreed before you start. It is a retailer with stores and an online channel, and the team works to a weekly trading rhythm.

The work is fully remote and open to anyone living in an EU country; the team itself works from Poland. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).

What you deliver

  • Compare current systems with the target operating model and rank gaps by effort and value.
  • A 20-minute walkthrough call, or a recorded screen share if you prefer
  • The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
  • One round of edits after the company's review is included

How the work runs

  • Day 1: scope confirmed in writing, files shared
  • Middle of the period: draft shared for early feedback
  • Last day: final version and handover note

Duration: 2 to 3 weeks. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.

  • Work outside the scope written in the brief; extra items are quoted separately

How you get paid

  • Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
  • You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
  • You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
