Fractional CFO Advisory Hour

About this task

This Series A business banking startup for nonprofits (11–50 employees) is looking for an executive Fractional CFO for a paid one-hour session with a senior specialist. A one-hour session with a senior finance leader on one decision.

A short, focused session replaces days of internal debate. It operates in regulated payments and lending, so a written trail for every decision matters.

The work is fully remote. Any location in Spain works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. The call is booked at a time that suits you, evenings included.

What you deliver

• Review a founder's hiring plan against the cash forecast and answer three specific questions on timing.
• One focused hour, with the questions sent to you the day before
• No preparation outside the hour unless you both agree to extend
• Pointers to sources you relied on, so the company can check them

How the work runs

• Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
• Days 2 to 3: the work, with questions answered the same day
• Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough

Duration: One session of about an hour. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
