About this task
This Growth-stage cybersecurity software company for hospitals and clinics (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a manager Month-End Close Accountant for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Roll-forward of cost and depreciation with additions and disposals.
The work is too small to justify a hire and too important to leave to chance. The company sells subscription software, so deadlines follow release and billing cycles.
The team sits in New York City. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).
What you deliver
- Prepare the fixed asset roll-forward for Q3 and tie it to the ledger and the depreciation run.
- The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
- A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
- One round of edits after the company's review is included
How the work runs
- Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
- Days 2 to 4: the work, with questions answered the same day
- Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough
Duration: about 10 working days. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
