About this task
This household products maker in natural personal care (51–200 employees) is looking for a director Fractional CFO for a monthly bundle of recurring tasks, 8–14 h a month. What the finance function needs next: roles, tools and processes in order of priority.
The same kind of work comes back every month, so the company prefers one person with an hours cap over ad-hoc requests. It sells consumer goods through retailers, so planning cycles run to a fixed monthly calendar.
The team sits in Pilsen. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start.
What you deliver
- Assess a 40-person company's finance setup and write a 12-month plan: hires, tools, controls and cost.
- The monthly list of items completed, each with a link to the result
- A running log of open questions, reviewed at the start of each week
- A named list of items moved to next month, so nothing is lost
What a month looks like
- Start of month: the company shares the items and the priorities
- Mid-month: progress check of 15 minutes
- Month end: hours used against the cap, results and open items
Duration: 12 weeks, with a monthly hours cap. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
