About this task

This telecom operator (51–200 employees) is looking for an executive Fractional CFO for a monthly bundle of recurring tasks, 8–14 h a month. What the finance function needs next: roles, tools and processes in order of priority.

The same kind of work comes back every month, so the company prefers one person with an hours cap over ad-hoc requests. It is a telecom company, with large datasets and long-running programmes.

The work is fully remote and open to anyone living in an EU country; the team itself works from Hungary. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected.

What you deliver

• Assess a 40-person company's finance setup and write a 12-month plan: hires, tools, controls and cost.
• A named list of items moved to next month, so nothing is lost
• A month-end summary with hours used against the cap
• The monthly list of items completed, each with a link to the result

What a month looks like

• Week 1: intake call and a list of what is due this month
• Weeks 2 and 3: items completed in short sessions
• Week 4: month-end summary and the list for next month

Duration: 8 weeks, with a monthly hours cap. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
