About this task

This warehousing operator with cross-border freight (51–200 employees) is looking for a manager Fractional HR Business Partner for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–8 h a week. Guides managers through conduct and performance cases.

The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. It moves goods for customers, so the data is operational and updated daily.

The team sits in Wakefield. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (UK time).

What you deliver

• Support managers on three active cases and document each step and decision.
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call

What a week looks like

• Tuesday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
• Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
• Thursday: update sent before the company's end of day

Duration: 16 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in GBP after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
