About this task

This electronics manufacturer making industrial pumps (51–200 employees) is looking for a specialist HR Operations & HRIS Administrator for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Automates the handoffs between HR, IT and payroll from hire to leaving.

The company has a deadline, no one free to own it, and wants a person who has done the same job before. It manufactures physical products, and the office team works to month-end and plant schedules.

The team sits in Birmingham. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (UK time).

What you deliver

• Automate onboarding and offboarding tasks across HR, IT and payroll.
• A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
• A 20-minute walkthrough call, or a recorded screen share if you prefer
• One round of edits after the company's review is included

How the work runs

• Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
• Days 2 to 6: the work, with questions answered the same day
• Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough

Duration: about 10 working days. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in GBP after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
