About this task
This recruiting platform for small businesses (51–200 employees) is looking for a senior Policy & Handbook Writer for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. A complete handbook in plain language for one or more countries.
The work is too small to justify a hire and too important to leave to chance. It works in staffing and HR technology, and the team is used to external specialists.
The team sits in Valencia. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call.
What you deliver
- Write a 40-page employee handbook for a US and UK company with state and country addenda.
- A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
- The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
- One round of edits after the company's review is included
How the work runs
- Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
- Days 2 to 13: the work, with questions answered the same day
- Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough
Duration: 2 to 3 weeks. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
