About this task

This Series C lending platform for small businesses (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a director Content Lead for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–8 h a week. Edits drafts to a standard and coaches writers.

Workload peaks and dips, so a few fixed hours a week fit better than a full-time seat. It operates in regulated payments and lending, so a written trail for every decision matters.

The team sits in Cardiff. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected.

What you deliver

  • Review 15 drafts a week against the style guide and give writers short, specific feedback.
  • Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
  • A written update every Wednesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
  • Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day

What a week looks like

  • Tuesday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
  • Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
  • Wednesday: update sent before the company's end of day

Duration: 8 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
