About this task

This Restaurant-technology company (11–50 employees) is looking for a specialist Paralegal for an ongoing part-time engagement of 4–12 h a week. Prepares contracts, forms and letters for attorney review.

The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It produces and sells food and drink, with seasonal peaks and strict labelling rules.

The team sits in West Jordan. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (MT).

What you deliver

• Prepare 15 documents a week from templates and client data for attorney review.
• A written update every Monday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends

What a week looks like

• Wednesday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
• Tuesday: main working block (4 hours)
• Monday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open

Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.

• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
