About this task

This Series A generative-AI startup for drug discovery (51–200 employees) is looking for a specialist Paralegal for an ongoing part-time engagement of 4–12 h a week. Prepares contracts, forms and letters for attorney review.

The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It builds AI products and needs human experts to check what the models produce.

The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in Nevada, so this one is for residents there. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call.

What you deliver

• Prepare 10 documents a week from templates and client data for attorney review.
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends

What a week looks like

• Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
• Friday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
• Wednesday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread

Duration: 16 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in USD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
