About this task
This Series B medical devices company (201–500 employees) is looking for a specialist Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 2–5 h a week. Resolves invoice disputes and issues credit notes under policy.
The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It works in healthcare, so patient data is never part of the task and privacy rules are strict.
The team sits in Chicago. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected.
What you deliver

What a week looks like
- Tuesday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
- Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
- Thursday: update sent before the company's end of day
Duration: 16 weeks, renewable. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
