About this task
This health insurer for travel (51–200 employees) is looking for a specialist Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 2–5 h a week. Resolves invoice disputes and issues credit notes under policy.
The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. It is an insurer, so accuracy and an audit trail come before speed.
The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in California, so this one is for residents there. The company prefers early-morning hours, before a normal working day starts. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (PT).
What you deliver
- Resolve 20 open disputes with sales and support input and issue approved credit notes.
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- A written update every Wednesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
What a week looks like
- Friday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
- Monday: main working block (2 hours)
- Wednesday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open
Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
