About this task
This government IT contractor serving tax authorities (1,001–5,000 employees) is looking for a senior Paralegal for a monthly bundle of recurring tasks, 12–30 h a month. First-pass review and coding of documents.
A named list of recurring items keeps the month predictable for both sides. It supplies the public sector, so documentation follows contract rules.
The team sits in St. Paul. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CT).
What you deliver
- Review and code 2,000 documents for relevance and privilege flags.
- A named list of items moved to next month, so nothing is lost
- A month-end summary with hours used against the cap
- The monthly list of items completed, each with a link to the result
What a month looks like
- Week 1: intake call and a list of what is due this month
- Weeks 2 and 3: items completed in short sessions
- Week 4: month-end summary and the list for next month
Duration: 12 weeks, with a monthly hours cap. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
