About this task
This Real-estate services firm in residential development (201–500 employees) is looking for a senior Paralegal for a monthly bundle of recurring tasks, 12–30 h a month. First-pass review and coding of documents.
The company wants one reliable owner for a list of small jobs instead of five different people. It works in real estate and construction, where project documents change often.
The team sits in Chicago. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (CT).
What you deliver
- Review and code 2,000 documents for relevance and privilege flags.
- The monthly list of items completed, each with a link to the result
- A month-end summary with hours used against the cap
- A named list of items moved to next month, so nothing is lost
What a month looks like
- Start of month: the company shares the items and the priorities
- Mid-month: progress check of 15 minutes
- Month end: hours used against the cap, results and open items
Duration: 12 weeks, with a monthly hours cap. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
