About this task
This telecom operator (201–500 employees) is looking for a director Data Scientist for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. A forecast with an honest error range.
It is a self-contained job: scope, checklist and price are agreed before you start. It is a telecom company, with large datasets and long-running programmes.
The work is fully remote. Any location in Belgium works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).
What you deliver
- Build a weekly demand forecast for 30 products and compare it with the current spreadsheet method.
- The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
- A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
- One round of edits after the company's review is included
How the work runs
- Day 1: scope confirmed in writing, files shared
- Middle of the period: draft shared for early feedback
- Last day: final version and handover note
Duration: about 10 working days. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
