Data Science Advice Hour (Zoom)

About this task

This Series B HR software company for hospitals and clinics (51–200 employees) is looking for a manager Data Scientist for a paid one-hour session with a senior specialist. A senior data scientist's view on one decision.

The company has one decision to take and wants a senior view before it does. The company sells subscription software, so deadlines follow release and billing cycles.

The work is fully remote. Any location in Italy works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. The call is booked at a time that suits you, evenings included. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).

What you deliver

• Review a start-up's data plan and answer three questions on what to build first and what to buy.
• A short written summary of the advice within 24 hours after the session
• No preparation outside the hour unless you both agree to extend
• One focused hour, with the questions sent to you the day before

How the work runs

• Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
• Days 2 to 3: the work, with questions answered the same day
• Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough

Duration: One session of about an hour. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
