About this task
This Home-goods retailer with 40 stores (201–500 employees) is looking for a senior Data Analyst for an ongoing part-time engagement of 2–5 h a week. Triages requests from the business and delivers the small ones.
The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. It is a retailer with stores and an online channel, and the team works to a weekly trading rhythm.
The team sits in Charlottesville. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected.
What you deliver
- Handle the week's data requests, close the quick ones and rank the rest for the team lead.
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- A written update every Friday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
What a week looks like
- Tuesday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
- Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
- Friday: update sent before the company's end of day
Duration: 16 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.
