About this task

This Seed gaming platform making educational games (11–50 employees) is looking for a manager BI Analyst for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Finds why a dashboard is slow and fixes it.

It is a self-contained job: scope, checklist and price are agreed before you start. It is a games studio with release dates that move the whole calendar.

The team sits in Paris. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).

What you deliver

  • Cut a 90-second dashboard to under 12 seconds with aggregates, extracts and query changes.
  • The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
  • One round of edits after the company's review is included
  • A 20-minute walkthrough call, or a recorded screen share if you prefer

How the work runs

  • Day 1: scope confirmed in writing, files shared
  • Middle of the period: draft shared for early feedback
  • Last day: final version and handover note

Duration: about 10 working days. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.

Who fits

  • 7-12 years of hands-on work as a BI Analyst, or the equivalent mix of roles
  • Business-level French as well as English: the documents and part of the team work in French
  • Comfortable working in Looker, SQL and Tableau
  • Your own work history stays private; the company sees a first name, your field and a rate

Nice to have

  • A habit of asking one clarifying question early rather than five late
  • Comfortable explaining numbers or decisions to a non-specialist reader

Not included

  • On-call availability outside the agreed window
  • Anything that needs a signature in your own name unless the brief says so
  • Work outside the scope written in the brief; extra items are quoted separately

How you get paid

  • The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
  • Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
  • You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
  • You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
