About this task

This Series B workflow automation company for property managers (51–200 employees) is looking for a manager Data Analyst for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Groups customers by behaviour and value and names the segments.

It is a self-contained job: scope, checklist and price are agreed before you start. The company sells subscription software, so deadlines follow release and billing cycles.

The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in New Jersey, so this one is for residents there. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected.

What you deliver

• Segment 40,000 customers by order frequency and margin and describe five groups with actions.
• The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
• A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
• One round of edits after the company's review is included

How the work runs

• Day 1: scope confirmed in writing, files shared
• Middle of the period: draft shared for early feedback
• Last day: final version and handover note

Duration: about 10 working days. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in USD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
