About this task

This agritech company in dairy (51–200 employees) is looking for a manager Data Analyst for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Groups customers by behaviour and value and names the segments.

A fresh pair of experienced eyes is needed, and the result is a document or file the team can use straight away. It is an agri-business, so the calendar follows the growing season.

The company prefers a person who can come to Bari for kickoff and the final review; the rest is remote. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).

What you deliver

  • Segment 40,000 customers by order frequency and margin and describe five groups with actions.
  • The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
  • A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
  • One round of edits after the company's review is included

How the work runs

  • Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
  • Days 2 to 8: the work, with questions answered the same day
  • Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough

Duration: 1 to 2 weeks. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.

Who fits

  • 7-12 years of hands-on work as a Data Analyst, or the equivalent mix of roles
  • Comfortable working in SQL, Python and Excel
  • Your own work history stays private; the company sees a first name, your field and a rate

Nice to have

  • Has worked with a distributed team across time zones
  • A habit of asking one clarifying question early rather than five late

Not included

  • Work outside the scope written in the brief; extra items are quoted separately
  • Anything that needs a signature in your own name unless the brief says so
  • Managing other contractors or employees

How you get paid

  • The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
  • Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
  • You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
  • You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
