About this task
This Supply-chain software company for e-commerce brands (201–500 employees) is looking for a senior UX Researcher for a monthly bundle of recurring tasks, 12–24 h a month. Interviews that find the real problem.
The same kind of work comes back every month, so the company prefers one person with an hours cap over ad-hoc requests. It moves goods for customers, so the data is operational and updated daily.
The team sits in Austin. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call.
What you deliver
- Recruit and interview eight customers on how they do a task today and write up the themes.
- A month-end summary with hours used against the cap
- A running log of open questions, reviewed at the start of each week
- A named list of items moved to next month, so nothing is lost
What a month looks like
- Week 1: intake call and a list of what is due this month
- Weeks 2 and 3: items completed in short sessions
- Week 4: month-end summary and the list for next month
Duration: 12 weeks, with a monthly hours cap. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
