About this task

This Series C digital health company (201–500 employees) is looking for a manager Account Manager for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–6 h a week. Regular check-ins that keep customers happy and find expansion.

The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It works in healthcare, so patient data is never part of the task and privacy rules are strict.

The team sits in Asheville. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).

What you deliver

• Run quarterly check-ins with 25 accounts and log what each customer needs next.
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
• A written update every Thursday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call

What a week looks like

• Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
• Tuesday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
• Thursday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread

Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in USD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
