About this task
This publishing house covering technology (201–500 employees) is looking for a senior Business Analyst for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Maps how work happens today and where it breaks.
A fresh pair of experienced eyes is needed, and the result is a document or file the team can use straight away. It publishes content on a schedule, so editorial deadlines are fixed.
The team sits in New York City. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).
What you deliver
- Map the quote-to-cash process with pain points and measured handoff delays.
- One round of edits after the company's review is included
- A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
- A 20-minute walkthrough call, or a recorded screen share if you prefer
How the work runs
- Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
- Days 2 to 7: the work, with questions answered the same day
- Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough
Duration: about 10 working days. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
