About this task

This Series B web3 infrastructure company in compliance tooling (51–200 employees) is looking for a director Fractional COO for a paid one-hour session with a senior specialist. One hour with an operations leader on a defined problem.

A short, focused session replaces days of internal debate. It works in digital assets, where compliance and record keeping are a daily topic.

The work is fully remote and open to anyone living in an EU country; the team itself works from Austria. The call is booked at a time that suits you, evenings included. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).

What you deliver

• Advise a founder on scaling the customer onboarding team and list next steps.
• No preparation outside the hour unless you both agree to extend
• Pointers to sources you relied on, so the company can check them
• One focused hour, with the questions sent to you the day before

How the work runs

• Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
• Days 2 to 3: the work, with questions answered the same day
• Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough

Duration: One session of about an hour. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
