About this task
This Series A subscription commerce company for children's clothing (51–200 employees) is looking for a senior Internal Audit & SOX Support for an ongoing part-time engagement of 1–3 h a week. Performs tests of operating effectiveness and records evidence.
The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It sells online, so volumes move with promotions and the calendar matters.
The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in Colorado, so this one is for residents there. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (MT).
What you deliver
- Test 40 key controls for Q3 with samples, evidence references and exceptions logged in AuditBoard.
- A written update every Thursday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
What a week looks like
- Monday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
- Wednesday: main working block (1 hours)
- Thursday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open
Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
