About this task
This packaging manufacturer supplying aerospace (51–200 employees) is looking for a manager Payroll Specialist for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Collects forms, tests contractor status risks and prepares the year-end filings.
It is a self-contained job: scope, checklist and price are agreed before you start. It manufactures physical products, and the office team works to month-end and plant schedules.
The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in Minnesota, so this one is for residents there. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there.
What you deliver
- Check W-9 completeness for 40 contractors and prepare the 1099-NEC figures for filing.
- A 20-minute walkthrough call, or a recorded screen share if you prefer
- A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
- The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
How the work runs
- Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
- Days 2 to 4: the work, with questions answered the same day
- Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough
Duration: about 10 working days. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.
